Map

A National Natural Landmark, this beautiful state park is rich in its natural beauty, history, and geology, and features Vikingsholm, one of the best examples of Scandinavian architecture in the western hemisphere. The park is also home to Lake Tahoe's only island, Fannette Island, and there are a variety of recreational opportunities to pursue. There are 268 family campsites and a group camp between the D.L. Bliss State Park and Emerald Bay, reserved-or on a first come/first serve basis and the sites each have a table, cupboard, and stove. There are restrooms and hot showers nearby. This campground is closed during the off-season. There are no electric or water hookups at the campgrounds.

Please note: While we strive to keep our listings updated, we recommend that you always call ahead to make sure the place you are visiting is still in business, at the same location, and has the same hours of operation. Do you have a favorite natural or organic place that we don't have listed yet? Tell us about your favorite place, or let us know any comments or feedback you have by sending us an email. Thank you!
