This producer only market assures shoppers that the diversity of fresh local and organic produce and products are grown, prepared, or made by the vendor. Some offerings include 60+ vendors all within 70 miles of the market, a good selection of fresh produce, all natural meats, farm fresh eggs, cheeses, fresh baked goods, prepared foods and beverages, and craft and artistic works. Special events, live music, children's activities, and chef demonstrations are also part of the experience here. The market is held in the Pavilion at Durham Central Park and runs year around rain or shine: On Saturdays (except the Saturday after Thanksgiving) from 8 am until noon from April to November when hours change at the beginning of December from 10 am until noon. The Wednesday market runs from mid-April to September from 3:30 pm until 6:30 pm.
