The state's most popular recreation destination, there is an abundance of wildlife, plenty of water and land fun, a maritime forest, tidal creeks, a saltwater lagoon, an historic publically accessible lighthouse, and one of the longest public beaches in the low country can be found at this 5,000 acre semi-tropical barrier island park. The camp area offers a day use area, fire rings, picnic tables, showers, restrooms, a playground, store, concessionaires, a laundry, and a dump station.
