 Known for the site where Meriwether Lewis of Lewis and Clark fame (and then governor of the Upper Louisiana Territory) died of a gunshot wound; this beautiful memorial site offers a variety of recreation, a pioneer cemetery, exhibits, trails, and more. Campsites are free and first come first served; there are 32 sites and potable water is available. There are no electric or water hookups at the campgrounds.
