Map

Beacon Rock is actually the core of an ancient volcano, and the mile-long trail to its summit gives the viewer a stunning panoramic view of the Columbia River Gorge. With over 4,600 acres, more than 20 miles of multi-use trails, and 9,500 feet of freshwater shoreline, there is an abundance of plant and wildlife, and land and water recreation. The park's main campground is seasonal, but there are 2 campsites near the moorage area available year round on a first come first served basis. The camp, being an older camp, is more suited to tent camping rather than RV, and there are only a limited number of sites that will accommodate rigs over 20 feet. There is a restroom and showers. This campground is closed during the off-season. There are no electric or water hookups at the campgrounds.
